Flipkart Price Lock Feature Announced Ahead of Festival Season, Get All The Details Here

In preparation for the festive season, Flipkart is gearing up for one of its most important sales events of the year, known as the Big Billion Days Sale. Ahead of this sale, the e-commerce giant has introduced an innovative “Price Lock” feature that allows customers to pre-book deals, ensuring they get theirs once the sale officially starts. What is the Flipkart Price Lock Feature

• With the new Flipkart price lock feature, consumers will essentially be able to lock any limited-time deal on Flipkart by paying a small fee. The amount of the fee is not clear.

• Then later once the sale is live, consumers will be able to claim that deal and purchase the product with the discount as shown before. This way there’s no risk of the stock getting over or the deal becoming unavailable.

• The idea behind this feature is for people to get the deal that they want since these limited-time offers usually end up getting sold out. So instead of rushing to grab that deal, one can simply claim it beforehand.

• Flipkart hasn’t announced the launch date for its Flipkart price lock feature but it’s expected to debut around the time the festive sales begin. 

Once again this year, Flipkart is preparing to launch its much-awaited Big Billion Days sale in October. During this event, customers can expect substantial discounts and attractive offers on a wide range of products across different categories. Expect exciting deals on in-demand items, with a special focus on smartphones and other electronics.

The announcement was made by Flipkart’s chief product and technology officer Jeyandaran Venugopal, who also added that the e-commerce platform plans to enhance its loyalty program as well. Just last month, Flipkart announced its ‘Plus Premium’ membership which is an upgraded version of its loyalty programme. You get all the benefits of Flipkart Plus along with a couple more exclusive ones. 

Customers who have made more than eight transactions within a 12-month period can now avail the recently launched Flipkart Plus premium membership. This membership gives you exclusive access to exclusive offers on well-known brand products and allows you to earn four percent SuperCoins on all your purchase transactions with a maximum limit of 300 SuperCoins.
