Free Fire Relaunch in India Delayed by Some Reason, Check the Reason

Free Fire fans in India will need to be more patient as the release of the highly anticipated mobile game has been delayed. Last year, in February, the Indian government banned Free Fire along with 53 other apps and games with Chinese affiliation. While the relaunch of Garena Free Fire in India was initially scheduled for today, it has now been postponed by a few weeks.

Free Fire Relaunch in India Delay Reason

Garena announced the delay via the official Instagram account of Free Fire India. Here, the reason behind the delay is to ensure “the best possible experience for all our Free Fire India fans right from the start.” The company says it is refining the gameplay and is also working on completing the localisation of Free Fire India.

It appears that Free Fire still does not fully comply with the localization requirements set by the Indian authorities. To address this issue, the Singapore-based company has partnered with Hiranandani Group subsidiary Yotta to facilitate local cloud hosting and storage as part of its localization efforts in India.

Free Fire New Features

New features have been implemented, including OTP verification for minor players and in-game spending restrictions. Additionally, limited playing hours have been introduced, allowing 3 hours for minors and 6 hours for others. Free Fire India will also incorporate break reminders and virtual game announcements.

Garena has assured that the Free Fire India launch is imminent, ensuring that players will be able to enjoy the game in just a few weeks. The company also highlighted the incredibly positive and enthusiastic response it received from the Indian community when announcing the return of Free Fire in India.
