On Tuesday, Honor introduced the Honor V Purse in China, unveiling this outward foldable smartphone as part of a special limited pre-sale promotion. The device offers users a choice of three different color variations and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, along with a robust 4,500mAh battery that supports fast 35W wired charging. The phone was unveiled for the first time at the IFA 2023 trade show in Berlin. Honor showcased the prototype and said that the handset would not be released to the public. HONOR V Purse sports a 7.71-inch OLED display on the outside with a resolution of 2,348 x 2,016 pixels and an aspect ratio of 10.5:9. When folded, the display turns into a 6.45-inch panel with a resolution of 2,348 x 1,088 pixels and a 19.4:9 aspect ratio., The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate, a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz, and 1,600 nits peak brightness.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC that is built using 6nm process technology and is paired with Adreno 642L GPU for graphics processing. It comes pre-installed with MagicOS 7.2, which is based on the Android 13 operating system.

In terms of optics, Honor V Purse features a dual camera setup, compromised with a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, the front-facing camera boasts an 8-megapixel sensor.

It packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 35W wired fast charging via USB Type-C. There are all connectivity options including Dual 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity.

Honor V Purse comes in two configurations, one with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 68,400), and another with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, available for CNY 6,599 (roughly Rs. 75,300). The smartphone is already available for limited pre-sale via HONOR China online store. As of now, Honor has not officially announced a worldwide release for this device.
