The Red Magic 9 Pro has been confirmed to launch soon. It will be the successor of the Red Magic 8 Pro, which made its debut in China in January of this year. The Red Magic 8 Pro boasted a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and featured a substantial 6,000mAh battery equipped with 80W wired fast charging capabilities. Recent sightings on benchmarking and certification platforms have revealed key details about the upcoming Red Magic 9 Pro. Nubia, the company behind the Red Magic series, has now disclosed the official launch date, with the company president providing teasers about some of the phone’s anticipated features.
Red Magic 9 Pro Launch Date
Nubia has officially announced on Weibo that the Red Magic 9 Pro series is scheduled to launch in China on November 23 at 2 pm Beijing time (11:30 am IST). The device, identified by model number NX769J, has been spotted on Geekbench, revealing specifications like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 12GB RAM, and is expected to run on RedMagic OS based on Android 14.
Red Magic 9 Pro Specifications
Ni Fei, the President of Nubia, recently revealed on Weibo that the upcoming Red Magic 9 Pro series will bring “exciting surprises” across various aspects such as design, performance, battery life, and screen. Additionally, according to a report from Mydrivers, it is speculated that these phones will feature hidden under-display front cameras and therefore, notch-less displays.
The report additionally mentions that the Red Magic 9 Pro series is set to feature an innovative ICE Magic cooling system, which is known as the 3D Ice-Level VC Heat Dissipation System, a first in the industry. This system is expected to have a substantial increase in heat loss efficiency compared to conventional single-chip VC and dual-chip VC systems.
The Red Magic 8 Pro includes Nubia’s ICE 11 system, which includes a redesigned 20,000 RPM fan for better airflow. Additionally, the phone is equipped with a Cube Performance Optimizer, which claims stable frame rates and minimal power consumption.
