Motorola has launched multiple smartphones in the Edge 30 series in India and other markets. The Edge 30 series debuted in China as the X30 series. According to a new report, now Motorola is working on the X30 series successor. Which is expected to launch in China in December 2022 with the name Moto X40.Now a Motorola smartphone with model number XT2301-5 has also appeared on China’s TENAA certification site. The listing is believed to be that of the Moto X40.

As per the TENAA listing, the smartphone will feature a 6.73 inches Full HD+ OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, and the device is said to include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies, it is speculated to sport a 60-megapixel selfie shooter like its previous generation model.
As per the report, the Moto X40 will debut with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The handset is expected to come in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants and will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM type. The handset could arrive with two types of battery variants 4,500 mAh and 5,000 mAh with 68W fast charging support.
