On Wednesday, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Nord 3 5G in India. The new addition to the Nord-series lineup from the Chinese smartphone maker is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 SoC, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor, which incorporates Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for better image quality. Furthermore, it includes a tri-state alert slider, a feature usually found on premium smartphones from OnePlus. Additionally, OnePlus has included an IP54 rating to ensure dust and water resistance.

OnePlus Nord 3 5G Display
The handset flaunts a 6.74-inch 1.5K Super Fluid AMOLED display with a dynamic refresh rate that is capable of switching between 40Hz – 120Hz. The other display has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1450 nits peak brightness, and a pixel density of 450ppi. OnePlus says the screen has sRGB support, Display P3, and HDR10+ support. The display is protected by Dragontrail Glass tail glass.

Nord 3 5G is powered by an octa-core (4nm) MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, which offers powerful processing capabilities. It is complemented by Mali-G710 MC10 GPU for efficient handling of graphics-intensive tasks. The device is equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 type storage, which ensures faster multitasking and faster data access. To prevent overheating, the Nord 3 includes a highly efficient VC cooling system, which includes a large 4,129.8 sqm vapor chamber for effective heat dissipation. The handset runs on OxygenOS 13.1 based on the Android 13 operating system. OnePlus promises 3 years of Android OS upgrades and 4 years of Android security updates.
