Hello Friends! Qualcomm has launched new chipsets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 with flagship specifications for the mobile platforms. Where Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 is the successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and whereas Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is the successor of Snapdragon 778G SoC. Qualcomm claimed that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 is capable of 10% faster CPU performance than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 30% more power-efficient than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. On the other hand Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is 20% faster graphics rendering as compared to Snapdragon 778G SoC.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 is a chipset built on 4nm TSMC fabrication, TSMC’s more efficient fabrication process. Talking about CPU the chipset has 1x ARM Cortex-X2 CPU core clocked at 3.2 GHz, 3x ARM Cortex-A710 CPU cores clocked at 2.75 GHz, and 4x ARM Cortex A-510 CPU cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. Qualcomm claims the GPU Adreno 730 runs at a 10% higher frequency in this chipset.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 packs the fourth-generation X65 5G RF system that boosts 5G speeds up to 10Gbps. This chipset can handle 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The chipset supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 3.1 Type-C, and also you get 4K and QHD + display support which supports a 60Hz to 144Hz Refresh Rate. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 can do up to 200MP photo capture and 4K HDR video recording.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1uses Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. talking about the CPU the chipset has 1x ARM Cortex-A710 CPU core clocked at 2.4 GHz, 3x ARM Cortex-A710 CPU cores clocked at 2.36 GHz, and 4x ARM Cortex A-510 CPU cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 uses Adreno 662 GPU. According to Qualcomm, it has a 20% faster rendering than snapdragon 778G. This chipset supports dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
This chipset supports QHD + display with 60Hz Refresh Rate and supports FHD + display with 144 Hz Refresh Rate. The imaging is handled by the Qualcomm Spectra Triple ISP (14-bit), which supports cameras up to 200MP. It can also record 4K HDR videos at ( 30fps ). Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 uses Snapdragon X62 5G modem and supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 3.1 Type-C, and NAVIC.
OPPO Reno 8 Pro going to become the first smartphone, which will be launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
